How do you choose the right pet hotel for your cat?
The biggest worry when heading off on vacation is the little friend we leave behind. Choosing the right hotel goes a long way toward easing that worry. Here are some practical pointers to make your decision easier.
1. Verification and reviews
A hotel's photos may look lovely; what really matters is that it's verified and backed by genuine guest reviews. Make sure the business has passed identity and location verification, and that reviews come from real stays. A single bad review isn't the issue — recurring complaints are the warning sign.
2. Cameras, vet access, and hygiene
Especially for cats, quiet, separate enclosures and 24/7 camera access make a big difference. Having a vet nearby is critical in emergencies. If you have the chance to visit, the smells, the cleanliness, and how the other guests are doing will tell you a lot.
3. Settling in and communication
A short trial night before a longer stay helps your cat get used to the new environment. Being able to message the hotel easily throughout the stay and receiving daily photo updates may well be the most important criterion for your peace of mind.
